Who can take a buyback?
You must be at least 18 to claim a buyback or receive a payout or coupon. Anyone 13 to 17 can hold an account and track their cards, but a card won by a minor is shipped rather than bought back. Full details in the Buyback Terms.
What happens if I don't decide in time?
The offer expires and the card ships to you automatically, to the address Whatnot has on file for your order, with your next Whatnot shipment. Whatnot requires sellers to ship promptly, which is why the 24-hour window is fixed and cannot be extended.
Can I split between cash and coupons?
Yes. Take part of the value as cash and the rest as coupons. Each part is calculated at its own rate: cash at 90% less the 1% processing fee, coupons at 100%. You can also split the coupon total into several codes of the amounts you choose.
Are the coupons transferable?
No. Coupon codes are tied to your Whatnot account, have no cash value, and cannot be given to someone else. They do not expire, and each code is used once at checkout in one of our Whatnot shows.
Do I owe taxes on a buyback?
Money or coupons you receive may be taxable income to you, and you are responsible for any taxes that apply and for keeping records. We do not give tax advice.
